Richard Anuszkiewicz – Untitled (1970′s-1980′s)

250_2007-06-17_124130.jpg

This untitled and unsigned color serigraph is attributed to Richard Anuszkiewicz (1930- ), a seminal American modern artist. It is estimated to have been printed circa 1970’s-early 1980’s and was deaccessioned from the Westmoreland Museum of Fine Art in Pennsylvania in the early 1980’s. The piece is presented under glass in a metal and wood Kulicke-type museum frame with the image flush to the frame, measuring a total 25 x 25 inches. The serigraph has not been examined out of its frame. This serigraph closely resembles Olympics 1976, printed in 1975 (shown below).

Charley Harper – Tall Tail

200_hrper-talltail.jpg

This color serigraph, titled Tall Tail, is by Charley Harper (1922- ), a well listed American artist known for his abstract wildlife and scenic artwork in a modern style.

The piece was printed in 1974, edition 298/2000, and is signed and numbered in pencil. It is double matted, with a light brown outer mat and a yellow inner mat, and framed under glass in bamboo style brown wooden frame. This image is 10 inches by 18 inches; the sheet measures 13 inches by 21 inches; the total measurements are 18 inches by 26 inches. The serigraph is in excellent condition; the mats have slight, even fading.

Despite the fact that this lithograph was printed in a large edition of 2000, few have survived. This is an engaging, distinctive piece that would complement several decors; we suggest incorporating it into an Eames-style atomic ranch aesthetic as it has a distinct mid-century modern appearance.
