Robert Motherwell – Africa Suite VII (1966)
This abstract screenprint by Robert Motherwell (1915-1991) is an original silkscreen printed in black and cream and collaged to a larger support sheet, framed behind glass in an aluminum frame. The piece is signed “Mother well” in plate; it is also initialed and numbered (84/150) in pencil. The print is in very good condition.

Original silkscreen printed in black and cream and collaged to a larger support sheet, 1966. 150 signed & numbered impressions, plus artist’s proofs (of which ours is one). Printed at Kelpra Studio, London and published by Marlborough Graphics. Printed on J. B. Green paper. It is also signed in the screen top left. Except for a small unobtrusive paper flaw in the upper left quadrant not visible in this photograph, this is a very good impression of this large print in very good condition. Image size: 810x603mm.
